I’m a PhD candidate in the program that straddles STEM and social sciences who specializes in qualitative research. My areas of focus are disparate: One area is the experience of fat people in the United States in general. My latest project looked at the experiences of chronically ill fat people within the healthcare system.
In a past life, I received a Master’s in Literature. I still love poetry and really intellectual novels, as well as history and music and art. My second area of focus is in how people interact with museum spaces, and the process that writers go through to create novels.
In my spare time, I write somewhat decent novels and really bad poetry, though I haven’t attempted to get anything published in years. I think I’m just in it for the catharsis.
